The Ethika brand is known mostly for their popular underwear designs as they became a staple in the hip-hop and sports communities after its founding in 2001. Ethika Music began its journey in 2017 releasing their RGB mixtapes which featured heavy hitters like Kodak Black and Lil Wayne.
Ethika Music Volume 1 is different from their previous work as this project only includes artist who are signed to the Ethika Music label. Ethika has a wide range of artist with a broad contrast of styles and personalities. The mixtape includes Rayface & MNS Dank, Gucci Lando, B Simm, Angel Hill, Vee tha Rula, Mahzi, Bo. T, Aaron Bodden, and Gshytt. Each of them are able to shine individually throughout the ten track mixtape.
DJ Holiday hosting the tape is the icing on the cake for Ethika, his history of breaking upcoming artist is perfect for Ethika's roster who are all looking to burst on to the music scene in the coming months.
From the deep bass and trap flows from Rayface to the light and vibey singing from Angel Hill, Ethika Music: Volume 1 is a mixed bag of songs and styles that has a potential to appeal to a wide range of audiences.
